How about a smoothie to get this Thursday movin’?

I’m extra excitedย to share this Cherry Banana Pudding Smoothie with you because it’s the first recipe that I made in my new Vitamix blender!

Yep, I finally got on the Vitamix train and purchased this one from William Sonoma. It’s their latest (and newest) model, Ascent. And I’m in love! It has a touchscreen display, five program settings, and can do pretty much everything but cook the food. I won’t go on and on about my beautiful blender (and I’m not getting paid to promote it, I promise!), but I’ve been eyeing a Vitamix for a while and finally took the plunge!

My previous blender was only a few years old, but it took a little too long to make smoothies. And since I’ve been on a smoothie kick lately, my upgrade was definitely due.

Now, truth be told, I made this Cherry Banana Pudding Smoothie back in January. But, it turned out so well that I’ve been making it ever since! And my inspiration for this drink came from the back of a JELL-O pudding box…yep, it’s the kid inside me!

Maybe a pudding smoothie sounds a bit strange, but trust me, it’s sooo good. And it’s different than regular smoothies, too. While it doesn’t pack the tang of Greek yogurt, it is loaded with two kinds of fruit, calcium, and a touch of sweetnessย from the vanilla pudding mix.

The cherries and bananas pair so well together, while the vanilla pudding gives it a kick of flavor and makes this smoothie thick and creamy.

If you’re a fan of sweeter smoothies, then this Cherry Banana Pudding Smoothie was made for you. Dessert for breakfast never tasted so good! Or, if you want to end your night with something that’s not over-indulgent, this drink fits the bill!
