Sometimes you just need a snack.

Specifically one coated with some cinnamon, sugar, and salt.

Yes, I’m referring to these Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels and I’m munching on them as I type this.

I’ve never really been a huge snacker, but when I get the munchies, I often reach for the salty combo over the sweet. Sure, there are days when my chocolate cravings strike, or I feel like downing five slices of pizza (actually, that’s an every day occurrence for me). But for the most part, I can usually cure my snack attacks with a handful of almonds or a few chips.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce bag of pretzels, I used the butter braid twists
  • 4 tablespoons melted coconut oil, or vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300F. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
  • Add pretzels to a large bowl. Pour melted oil over pretzels and lightly toss to coat. Add in cinnamon sugar mixture and mix well until pretzels are thoroughly coated.
  • Spread pretzels out onto baking pan in an even layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until most of the oil is absorbed.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for about 20 minutes on baking pan.
