Can I just take a minute and talk about my dog? Well, my dog and Halloween, since today’s recipe is all about that candy-licious, popcorn goodness.
You probably remember by now (especially if you follow me on Snap Chat and browse my Instagram Stories) that my new pup, Callie, and I are pretty much inseparable.
Since I work from home, we’re together all day, unless I’m out and about running errands and things like that. It’s been a while since I’ve had a dog, and I am so loving being a dog mom!
Since Callie has a lot of energy, one of our favorite morning activities is going to the dog park! We’re fortunate enough to have a park about 5 minutes from our house, so Callie and I usually drive over there in the mornings and stay for for an hour or two. And what’s even better is that there’s a whole group of people, usually anywhere from 4-8 people, that show up with their dogs in the mornings for play time.
Callie looks forward to this every day. In fact, she knows when it’s time to go. That dog is smart! And if we don’t go for some reason, she mopes around. Yep, mopes.
So, I try my hardest to head out the door with her every morning for her play time. And she loves it! She runs with the other dogs and tries to get them to chase her, or vice versa. I can literally see Callie smiling from ear to ear when she’s in the park.
We’re still working on her training, though, and she’s getting better! So, I’m toying with the idea of walking her around on Halloween in her special costume. But, I can already foresee the future…she’s going to go nutty with all of the kids around!
Do you dress up your furry friends for Halloween? And if so, do you walk them around the neighborhood?
Maybe I’ll just take Callie for a quick walk, and then dash inside to enjoy more of this popcorn…
