Easy Caramel Latte Recipe

It’s that time of the year where I’m craving anything and everything hot and comforting.

Although I always start out my mornings with a steaming mug of coffee, I especially crave those kinds of drinks when the weather starts to get cooler. And I love spending lazy mornings under a warm blanket while enjoying my favorite drink to warm me up.

It’s really the little things that I look forward to that make me the happiest.

And I’m not gonna lie, when Starbucks finally came out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte on September 8th, I was one of the first people in line to get the drink. Their PSL is my all-time favorite and I was having a very hard time waiting until the second week of September to finally get my fix.

I mean, I swear it came out in August last year, so this year, I was in pure torture mode just waiting for it to make its return.

And now that we’re nearing October, I’ve had the PSL more than I care to admit. But hey, it’s only here for a short time and I always get the non-fat version, so that has to count for something, right? Please nod and say yes.

Since I’m addicted to coffee, I’ve been experimenting with new ways to create my own fancy-schmancy drinks at home. That way, I can control exactly what goes into my coffee, save money, and more than likely halve the calories. Sounds like a win-win situation, right? You bet!

Now, I know you’re probably thinking why I didn’t recreate my favorite pumpkin latte. Well, let’s face it, can a homemade drink really compare to Starbucks? Probably, but at least not when I make it, because I knew mine probably wouldn’t measure up. So instead, I went for my second next favorite drink…a caramel latte.

Salted caramel anything is a winner in my book, but when you add in coffee, I’m in heaven. Salted caramel caffeine heaven. Mmm mmm good!

And there’s nothing like holding a steaming mug of this Salted Caramel Latte and enjoying the crisp, fall air. That’s what fall is all about, friends!

What’s the Best Caramel for Coffee?

You can make this salted caramel coffee drink using any caramel sauce you’d like. You can find caramel sauces near the ice cream toppings, and sometimes in the baking aisle and / or near the coffee fixings.

Or, you can make your own Salted Caramel Sauce and omit the sea salt called for in this recipe!
