This Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea is made with black tea, cranberry juice, lemon, and spices. It's perfect to warm you up when you're feeling chilled!

I’ve mentioned before that I love using my slow cooker. From soups to chili and even baked goods, it’s a miracle appliance that I couldn’t live without. Whenever I’m thinking of a dish to make on the weekend, my mind automatically goes to my slow cooker. I love using it on lazy days when I can pop something in there and forget about it for the rest of the day. And besides being so easy to use, it also makes my house smell amazing!

One of my favorite things to do in the morning and at night is to drink a hot cop of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Since I always seems to be cold (even in 90 degree weather), a warm drink (and this soup) is just the ticket for me! And although I usually choose coffee over tea, I do enjoy flavored teas, especially during the winter.

And since I’ve never attempted a drink in my beloved slow cooker before, it was time that I created one. After mulling over different ideas, I finally decided on this Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea. Made with black tea, cranberry juice, lemon, cinnamon, and cloves, the flavor and aroma of this tea is perfect for warming you up when you’re feeling chilled.

Even if you’re not a huge fan of tea, I guarantee you’ll love this drink! The cranberry juice and spices blends together to create a fruity taste, with just the right amount of flavor. And since this Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea simmers for several hours, you can prepare it and then let your slow cooker do the rest of the work. That’s the best part about this appliance, right?

This Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea is made with black tea, cranberry juice, lemon, and spices. It's perfect to warm you up when you're feeling chilled!

Like most of my recipes, the prep time for this drink couldn’t be easier!

Simply place two tea bags with boiling water into the slow cooker and let steep for five minutes. Then add in some cranberry juice, sugar, lemon, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Let that cook on low heat for two hours or high heat for one hour and your Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea is ready to sip.

I garnished my tea with a cinnamon stick and fresh lemon slice and breathed in the aroma.

The cranberry and tea create subtle flavor that is bursting with cinnamon and spices. This Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea is the perfect drink to get you going in the mornings or to relax with at night. It refrigerates easily to heat up again whenever you want a delicious cup of hot tea.

Do you remove the tea bags after they steep for 5 minutes or leave them in the crockpot the entire time?

        December 13, 2015 at 12:32 pm

Hi Andrea! I left the tea bags in the entire time, though I'm sure you could remove them if they steep long enough. You're going to get a stronger flavor if they stay in there the whole time, so it just depends on your preferences. I hope you like this if you try it!

I can just imagine the wonderful scent that this fills a house with. Tea is one of my favorite things. I love going into Teavana and trying all of their flavors. I bet this would be awesome as an iced tea as well. :)
