Confession time: I have a love/hate relationship with exercising. And I’ve totally been slacking on working out lately. And by lately, I mean for the past year. You see, I don’t really enjoy working  out. I don’t get that runner’s high or those endorphins that make you happy. Nope, exercising does none of that for me.

However, once I’m actually in the process of running on the treadmill or using the weight machines, I trick myself into thinking I should do this every day. For that hour of exercising, I enjoy myself and feel good that I’m helping my body get stronger. And once I get into a routine of going to the gym several times a week,  it’s hard for me to skip a day.

Filled with Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds, crunchy granola, pretzels, dried cranberries, and white chocolate, this Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy ingredients!

So I’m starting to make an effort to go to the gym more often. No more excuses and no more being lazy. That’s the pep talk that I give myself, because once I’m done with my workout, I feel amazing. And since the hubster works out at least 3-4 times a week, he can motivate me when I need it (which is pretty much all the time).

In an effort to reward myself for working out, I whipped up a batch of this Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix. Filled with Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds, crunchy granola, pretzels, dried cranberries, and white chocolate, this mix has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy ingredients. It’s easy to grab ‘n go or to savor when you need an afternoon snack.

If you love sriracha sauce, then you’ll love these Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds. It’s the perfect mix of a bold and spicy flavor, which makes these almonds irresistible. And it also makes the best addition to this Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix. A little spice goes a long way with a little something sweet!

Filled with Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds, crunchy granola, pretzels, dried cranberries, and white chocolate, this Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy ingredients.

This Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix is the perfect option for when you want a quick post-workout snack or just a little afternoon pick-me-up. It’s very versatile, too, so feel free to add in whatever ingredients that suits your taste buds.  The Sriracha Blue Diamond Almonds provide the perfect amount of spice, while the cranberries and white chocolate provide a touch of sweetness. Combine that with some hearty granola and pretzels, and you have a crunchy and delicious treat just waiting to be devoured.

And because this treat takes just minutes to whip up, you can be munching on this Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix in no time. Take it to go in individual containers or scoop it up in a bowl to snack on. One bite and you’ll be craving this sweet and spicy mix all day long!

So if you feel satisfied while you're exercising or that you want to do it again, that's your body's way of getting those happy feelings going. Everyone responds differently. I used to think I hated exercising because of the way I felt during. But after is great So, see? All different. I need to get these sriracha almonds, stat! I love the mix, too. Trail mixes are always amazing, but yours is better than most!

This looks so easy to make Gayle, loving the white chocolate chips in here. Perfect for our hike this week to the Eternal Flame, an actual flame that never goes out under a cavern near where I live, a fun touristy attraction close to home. Great how you satisfy both our sweet and salty cravings at once!

Gayle - You go girl! Getting back to the gym or into a workout routine is the hardest part. I know you can do it especially with incentives like this trail mix at the end of your exercise. I used to hate exercising, but it's become a kind of therapy for me over the years. It helps to dull all of those thoughts and feelings that bottle up throughout the day. Good luck! :) I need to try these sriracha almonds. I've tried the Nature Box Sriracha Cashews and they were so yummy.

So funny reading your first line about an aversion to excercise while I am currently on the computer to avoid the fact that I SHOULD be on the treadmill right now. ;) This trail mix on the other hand, I would have no aversion to! It looks fantastic! :)

Agh, I HATE working out with a passion. I just have never been able to get into it. But my husband loves it and so I go with him 5 days a week and pretend like I know what I am doing. Good for you for getting back to it....I am still waiting for that amazing feeling you speak of (I just have sore legs for now!) This trail mix looks like the perfect after gym snack! Pinned!

My husband is the same way! He goes at least 4 times a week, so now I just need the motivation to go with him! Thanks for the kind words and pin, Mariah!

I love the sweet and spicy combination, that is so great in a snack mix! I need to go find those sriracha almonds, they sound fantastic!
