Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread the apple pie filling onto bottom of dish in an even layer.
Sprinkle the filling with cinnamon and then drizzle caramel sauce evenly over top.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of apples in an even layer.
Place sliced butter on top of cake mix, covering as much of the mix as possible.
