Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs I used the store-bought, already crushed graham crackers
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Apple Pie Filling

  • 4 medium apples peeled, cored and diced (I used Granny Smith apples, but any sweeter kind will work)
  • Juice from one small lemon
  • 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and cinnamon. Stir and then spread onto the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate, pressing down lightly with the back of a spoon or your hands to form a crust. Set aside.
  • In a medium pot, add diced apples and lemon juice, stir to combine. Add brown sugar, apple pie spice, cinnamon, and flour. Stir to combine. Cook for about 10-15 minutes over medium heat, or until apples are tender.
  • Remove from heat and spread apples onto prepared pie crust.
  • Top with caramel sauce. Serve immediately or let cool and then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

It's best to serve this dip right away, as the apple mixture will be warm and bubbly. However, you could keep this at room temperature or refrigerate until ready to serve. You could also warm this is the microwave if you want to serve this dip hot.
