Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk, any kind (I used 2%)
  • 1 cup half and half
  • ½ cup pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (about ¾ cup)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

Instructions

  • To a medium saucepan, add milk, half and half, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and chocolate.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until chocolate is melted and smooth and mixture just starts to form small bubbles around the edges. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Pour into mugs and garnish with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
