Ingredients

  • 8 ounce wheel of brie
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 medium apple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce plus more for topping, if desired

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F. Line a small baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Cut the top of the rind off brie and plate onto prepared pan. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until cheese is warm and starts to melt, but is not oozing out. It's important to watch this because if the cheese melts too much, it will become a big blog when transferring to a serving dish.
  • While brie is baking, in a small skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped apples and brown sugar. Mix and saute until apples are tender, about 6-7 minutes. Drizzle caramel sauce over apple mixture and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • Once brie is ready, slide it from the pan to a serving platter or board. The parchment paper will help the brie slide out easily.
  • Spoon apple mixture over the top of brie, and garnish with extra caramel sauce.
  • Serve immediately with apple slices, pita chips, graham crackers, or pretzels.
