Ingredients

Blueberry syrup:

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Lemonade:

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (juice from about 6-7 lemons)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup blueberry syrup recipe below

Instructions

Make blueberry syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and bring to a boil. Boil the mixture for about 5-7 minutes , or until the blueberries break down.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely. Strain the blueberries through a sieve to remove any chunks. Refrigerate blueberry syrup until chilled.

Make lemonade:

  • To make the lemonade, stir together the lemon juice, water, and chilled blueberry syrup. Serve over ice or refrigerate until ready to serve.
