Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup milk any kind
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup or honey, to sweeten
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon apple pie spice
  • ½ cup chopped apples plus more for topping (I used honey crisp apples, but any kind will work)

Instructions

  • In a medium airtight container, add oats, milk, yogurt, applesauce, syrup, cinnamon, apple pie spice, and ½ cup chopped apples. Stir or seal lid and shake well to make sure everything is combined.
  • Pour into two mason jars (if desired) or keep in container. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, so that the oats will soften and absorb the liquid.
  • Remove from refrigerator and stir. Top with more apples, if desired.
