Baked Chicken Parmesan
This Baked Chicken Parmesan is coated with a crispy, seasoned crust and baked to perfection. Topped with a rich sauce and mozzarella cheese, this easy meal is perfect for busy weeknights and will be your new favorite dish!
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- ¾ cup mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 425F. Lightly coat a shallow baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Pour breadcrumbs onto a shallow baking dish or plate. Add garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
Add beaten eggs to a medium bowl.
Take one piece of chicken and add to eggs, ensuring entire piece is coated. Then, dredge chicken in bread crumb mixture, coating all sides, and place onto prepared baking dish. Repeat with rest of chicken.
Spray a thin coating of non-stick cooking spray on each piece of chicken. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
Remove from oven, spoon 3 tablespoons sauce on each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
