Cinnamon Applesauce

  • 5 lbs apples about 12-15 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar OR packed light brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon


  • In a medium saucepan, combine the apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to coat the apples.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for about 30-45 min or until apples are soft and tender.
  • Remove from heat and mash with immersion blender, fork, or potato masher. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.


Applesauce will keep refrigerated for up to ten days.
