Ingredients

  • 2 frozen puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray a baking pan with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Unroll puff pastry sheets onto a lightly floured surface and gently press with your hands or a rolling pin to flatten.
  • Roughly chop apple pie filling into smaller pieces. Spread ½ of filling onto one sheet and ½ of filling on the other sheet, leaving an inch border along each side. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
  • Starting at one end, roll each sheet like a jelly roll. Cut into thin strips and place onto baking sheet. Brush melted butter onto each strip. Sprinkle with apple pie spice.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust turns a golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes on pan, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Apple croissants will keep in a covered container for up to 3 days.
