Ingredients

  • 10 stand and stuff hard taco shells regular hard shells will work, too
  • 2 cups cups, cooked, shredded chicken I used the cooked, shredded rotisserie chicken that you can find near the deli section of your grocery store
  • 1 envelope (1 ounce) taco seasoning any kind
  • 1 cup Pace® Chunky Salsa Medium
  • cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Toppings: lettuce, diced tomato, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, taco seasoning, and Pace® Chunky Salsa Medium. Stir well. **See note below**
  • Spoon about 3 tablespoons of chicken mixture onto the bottom of each taco shell. Top with shredded cheese.
  • Place shells into prepared dish and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  • Remove from oven, garnish with your favorite toppings, and serve.

Notes

Make sure that the chicken, taco seasoning, and salsa is mixed well and not too liquidy, otherwise it will make the taco shells soggy.
