Juicy, flavorful, and ready in 25 minutes, this Air Fryer BBQ Chicken is a weeknight game changer. Made with boneless, skinless chicken breasts that are coated in a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, this recipe delivers all the classic BBQ flavors without firing up the grill. It's perfect for busy families or anyone craving quick and easy comfort food!
Preheat air fryer (if your model has this option) to 375℉
In a small bowl, add the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika and stir well to combine.
Brush the sauce onto each chicken breast, coating both sides. Leave a little sauce in the bowl, as you'll coat the chicken halfway through air frying.
Add a parchment paper liner to the air fryer basket (if using) and place the chicken in a single layer in basket. Air fry for 7 minutes, then flip each chicken breast, brush with more sauce, and cook for another 6-8 minutes, or until cooked through and no longer pink (the chicken should reach and internal temperature of 165℉.)
Optional: brush any remaining sauce over the chicken just before serving.
Notes
The bbq sauce is sweet and smoky, but if you like a little spice, you can add some hot sauce or cayenne to the mixture.
Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
To reheat: microwave until warmed through or reheat in the air fryer at 350℉ for 3-4 minutes, or until warmed through.
To freeze: place into a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 2 months. When ready to serve, let thaw completely in the refrigerator.
