Filled with deli ham, Swiss cheese, and rolled up in a pre-made pizza dough, these roll-ups are sure to be the hit of the dinner table!

These Baked Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups are one of the easiest recipes on Pumpkin ‘N Spice. It’s also one of the tastiest, too! I mean, how could you go wrong with pizza crust, ham, and cheese?

So if you’re looking for the perfect, easy weeknight meal, these Baked Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups were made for you!

Ingredients in Baked Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups

As I mentioned above, these baked ham and cheese roll ups are made with just three basic ingredients:

  • Refrigerated pizza dough
  • Deli ham
  • Swiss cheese

How to Make Baked Ham and Cheese Roll Ups

Wondering what to make with pizza dough? Here’s your answer! Let’s go over how the ham roll ups are made:

  1. Unroll the pizza dough onto a flat surface and lightly press down into a rectangle.
  2. Top the dough with the deli ham slices, placing them in an even layer across dough.
  3. Repeat with the slices of Swiss cheese, placing them on top of the ham.
  4. Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log, pinching the ends together.
  5. Slice the dough log into 12 pieces and place onto prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake until the crust is golden. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before eating.

Can This Recipe Be Made in Advance?

Yes! The roll ups can be baked and served warm or at room temperature, making them a great make-ahead option for a party appetizer or your weekday lunches.

Recipe Variations to Try

The best part of this recipe — besides the ease and taste! — is that these roll-ups are so easy to customize depending on your tastes. Try one or more of the following variations:

  • Add some spicy mustard or ranch dressing to the roll-ups before you bake them.
  • Add in some onions, tomatoes, or olives.
  • Knead fresh herbs or crushed garlic into the pizza dough before rolling it out.

Just imagine all of the yummy possibilities that you can create!

These look super tasty, Gayle! And I'm always late to the party on reading books or watching shows. There's just too much out there. I did love reading Gone Girl, and the movie's been on my list for a a while!

Okay, so I am definitely one of those people who will never read a book on a screen. Lol. I have an iPad and I love it for cooking and surfing and travelling and such but I refuse to read on it. Maybe partly because it's hard on the eyes (and I've always had bad eyes!), and partly because it's just not the same! These roll ups are totally our kind of meal -- my kids would go nuts for these!

I've tried reading on a kindle and for whatever reason I love holding a book a little more -- I guess I'm old fashioned! I haven't read Girl on a Train so I'm going to look that up, and Gone Girl was good except for the ending! The movie was very good but sadly didn't end differently. :) These roll-ups look SO good, and my boys would especially love these! They're so fun and you can never go wrong with ham and cheese!

I've always liked reading real books too, and am not really a fan of e-books. But there IS something to be said for the convenience of them. When we went away at Christmas I was pretty happy to be able to download library books on my iPad so that I didn't have to pack a bunch of books! I haven't read Girl on a Train so I'll have to read that! These roll-ups look fantastic, I love a quick and easy meal!

And the books I'm getting into as of late belong to Liane Moriarty. Are you familiar with her books? I've read Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret so far... and I highly recommend her work!
