Ingredients Needed:

  • Cream Cheese: Just one block of cream cheese, softened to room temperature.
  • Powdered Sugar: To add some sweetness to this recipe.
  • Vanilla Extract: For a hint of flavor.
  • Cool Whip: One container gives this flavorful dip a fluffy (and tasty) texture.

How to Store:

Place this easy cool whip fruit dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.

  • Tip: Stir the dip just before serving, as it will revive that fluffy texture.

Freezing is not recommended: Freezing the dip will most likely change the texture and make it watery once thawed.

Can I Make This Ahead of Time?

Absolutely! This cream cheese cool whip fruit dip will last for up to five days in the refrigerator. Just be sure to stir well before serving.

Variations:

  • Add Some Strawberries: A swirl of strawberry sauce, strawberry cream cheese (in place of the regular kind) or chopped, fresh strawberries will turn this into a delicious strawberry fruit dip.
  • Stir in Chocolate: Mix in two tablespoons of cocoa powder or chocolate syrup for a rich dip.
  • Peanut Butter: Stir in a few spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter to make this fruit dip recipe with cool whip extra tasty.
  • Sprinkle in Cinnamon: A few shakes of ground cinnamon or even pumpkin pie spice will give this creamy dip a cozy vibe.
  • Yogurt Swap: Replace half of the cream cheese with vanilla yogurt for a lighter and tangier option.
  • Funfetti Style: Fold in some colorful sprinkles to make this sweet dip look extra pretty.
  • Marshmallow Dip: Stir in some marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme in place of the powdered sugar.
  • Pudding Mix: Add some chocolate or vanilla instant pudding mix to jazz up the flavors.

Tips for Making the Best Fruit Dip with Cool Whip Recipe:

  • Soften the Cream Cheese: Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature until it is softened so that it mixes well with no lumps.
  • Use a Hand Mixer: For best results, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer so that everything mixes together even and becomes light and fluffy.
  • Don’t Overmix the Cool Whip: Gently fold it in until just combined so that it keeps that airy, light texture.
  • Chill before Serving: While you can serve this right away, chilling for at least 30 minutes helps the flavors blend together.
