Now that spring is officially here, I couldn’t be more excited! The warmer weather means that I can spend more time outside, and that involves curling up with a good book and some ice cream in the sunshine.
I mean, you gotta have ice cream when the weather gets warm, am I right? Well, let’s face it, ice cream is needed year round, but especially when it’s nice out.
One of my favorite brands of ice cream is Blue Bunny®. For more than 80 years, they’ve been bringing delicious ice cream made with fresh and fun ingredients to families everywhere.
One flavor that I couldn’t wait to try was the Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cone™. It has swirls of creamy peanut butter and chocolate dipped cone pieces throughout vanilla ice cream. Sounds pretty good, right?
After stocking up on Blue Bunny® PB ‘N Cone™, Mint Cookie Crunch, and Cherrific Cheesecake, I headed home to create an ice cream-inspired snack that would go perfectly with a good book!

Thanks, Alice! It’s such a fun and easy dessert to make!
Holy moly- this looks incredible!! Perfect for curling up on the couch and enjoying this with a good book 🙂 Like you, I was a HUGE Babysitter’s Club and Sweet Valley High fan as a kid!!
Thank you, Sues! And yay for the Babysitter’s Club! 🙂
Talking about all of those books has me feeling very nostalgic, Gayle! I love them all, too! The Babysitters Club was def one of my favorites and a friend and I used to pretend we were them and recreate are favorite books. My favorite was Claudia! Anyway, these sundae nachos look absolutely sinful!! My mouth is watering 🙂
Those were such good books! I need to read them again soon, just for nostalgia’s sake! 🙂 Thanks for the ice cream love, Keri!
I was the biggest book worm when I was younger, and while I still love to read I honestly don’t do it enough. I need to change that! And I’ve never seen ice cream sundae nachos — this is the best idea! This is such a great idea for a kids party or just for myself. haha Love it!
It’s so hard to find enough time to read these days. I struggle with that, but I try my hardest to carve some time out. Thanks for the ice cream love, Marcie!
I haven’t watched Big Little Lies yet, but my sister in law has. I’ll definitely have to check out (perhaps the book first, though). I always like to read the book and then watch the movie/show first rather than the other way around. Geeez, I remember those book series! And so cute that you started your own club, lol 😀 Definite memories, right? I don’t recall seeing Blue Bunny ice-cream around here, but looks like they have some delicious flavours; that PB N Cone is definitely calling my name and what a fun recipe having sundae ‘nachos’. I don’t need sunshine to enjoy this one, that’s for sure 😉 Pinned! Hope you’re having a great week, Gayle 🙂 !
I think you will love that book! It’s my favorite out of all of the author’s books so far. And yay for memories and ice cream! Thanks for the nacho love, friend!
This looks really yummy☺
Thank you!
Hah! I grew up on Babysitter Club books and Sweet Valley twins! 🙂
And that PB Cones ice cream sounds AH-MAZING! I’m so glad it’s ice cream season!
Weren’t those the best book? Thanks, Blair!
I love Liane Moriarty’s books!! And I also loveeeeed the babysitter’s club growing up! By far my very favorite!
These sundae nachos are making me feel like summer! We had some really warm days last week but the last two days have been cold again!
Hooray for books and it almost being summer! 🙂 Thanks, Ashley!
What a super fun, easy and yummy recipe! I’m a bookworm too, and between reading and noshing on sundae nachos – sounds like your spring is going to be pretty epic!
Thank you, Mary! Reading and ice cream nachos make the best combination! 🙂
So fun, The Baby Sitter’s Club was my favorite series…and we totally tried to start our own club too lol. And yay for ice cream! Love these sundae nachos – they look awesome!!
Haha oh the memories, right? 🙂 Thanks for the ice cream love, Kelly!
This is SUCH a fun idea Gayle! Interestingly enough, I have done so much more reading for fun since I quit teaching English. Lol! Maybe I just have more time! Little Big Lies is totally on my list — I’ve heard it’s so good!
Thank you, Ashley! Yay for reading! I’m sure not being so busy with school helped with reading more because now you can do it for fun! 🙂
Yes, I’ve read three of her books already and really enjoy her writing! They’re the kind you don’t want to put down once you start! I too am a bookworm! Don’t know what I’d do without my books! I saw this ice cream on Insta last night and was immediately taken with it! A perfect treat!
I really enjoy her books too, so nice to find a good book! Thanks for the kind words, Annie!
Loved reading about those books, which reminds me that I haven’t been into books lately 🙂 These ice cream flavors sound delicious! Love the idea of sundae nachos!
Thanks, Mira!
Great simple recipe! Looks delicious…Like you i’m a reader.
Have you read dogtripping? I loved it but it was a tear jerker.
Thanks, Melody! I haven’t read that book but I’ll look into it! I’m mostly into psychological fiction nowadays!
