Ahhh sports…
How do you feel about them?
I will be the first to admit that I’m not the biggest sports fan. But, I don’t think that comes as a surprise around here, as I’ve mentioned that numerous times. While I did play basketball in grade school (does that even count?) and tennis in high school, I can pretty much take or leave sports. I know…I’m shocking all you sports lovers out there!
However, I do like basketball…watching it, that is. It’s probably the one sport that I fully understand most of the rules of and can sit through an entire game.
And going to a game? Even better! We’ve got a popular basketball team here in Chicago and I love watching them play live. The crowds, the energy, the food, it’s just so fun!
Now, the hubster is a huge sports fan. I’m talking gigantic, friends. Like, he loves every sport and watches most of them on TV. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…he is a walking sports trivia machine!
The hubster never ceases to amaze me with his vast sports knowledge. In fact, I always tease him that he missed his calling in life to go into sports broadcasting, or something along those lines.
And now that it’s February and college basketball is in full swing, the hubster is in basketball heaven. With the March games just a few short weeks away, he’s getting excited, and I am, too! I do like watching college basketball when tournaments are on, especially when good food is involved.
After all, it is all about the food, right? And drinks, because we can’t forget about the drinks.
And one of my favorite adult beverages is wine, specifically Frontera Wines. And when it comes to game day, I love pairing this drink with some tasty appetizers. You can make every moment tasty with Frontera wines because of the smooth and delicious taste. It’s perfect to serve at sports viewing parties, or to serve with your favorite game day foods.
Now, let’s get to the food!
These Cheesy Taco Cups are the perfect game day snack. Your favorite taco ingredients are layered in wonton wrappers and baked in mini form. Easy to make and even better to eat, you’ll enjoy these handheld cups that are packed with so much flavor!
And let’s be honest, taco bars are one the best game day foods, so why not make that a little bit easier with taco cups? If you’re a taco fanatic like I am, then these cups were made for you. Zesty, flavorful, and portable…perfection right there!
You all know my obsession with mini foods, so these Cheesy Taco Cups hit the spot. Seasoned ground beef, a mixture of salsa and cheese, and wonton cups. That’s the base for these cups!
Simply bake in mini muffin tins until the cheese is melted and the wonton wrappers are slightly browned. Then comes the fun part…the toppings! I like to top my Cheesy Taco Cups with black olives, cilantro, and a dash of sour cream. But, feel free to use your favorites. The possibilities are endless!
And don’t forget about the Frontera wine! Your game day spread isn’t complete without the wine and these Cheesy Taco Cups. Fun to make, appealing to the eye, and oh-so good. What more could you ask for?
