Garlic Parmesan Corn is an easy side dish that’s loaded with flavor. With just a handful of ingredients, this simple veggie is ready in just 10 minutes!
Garlic Parmesan Corn
It’s time for another fast and easy side dish, friends!
I haven’t shared many corn recipes around here, unless you count this Corn and Tomato Salad, that Corn and Black Bean Quinoa Salad, that Skillet Honey Cornbread or that Parmesan Herb Corn on the Cob.
But garlic fried corn? It’s oh-so delicious and incredibly simple to make! In just 10 minutes, you’ll have tender corn, coated with a decadent garlic parmesan sauce that’s perfect for just about any meal.
The best part about this easy corn recipe is that you can use fresh, frozen, or canned corn. Whatever you have on-hand will work well, and you can easily double to recipe to feed a crowd. Hint: this side dish would be perfect for Thanksgiving!
And that garlic parmesan sauce? Not only is it just three ingredients, but it’s perfect for garlic lovers. A mixture of garlic powder (if you want to get more fancy, use fresh garlic), grated Parmesan cheese, and a touch of heavy cream makes this sauce the perfect topping for the corn.
Ingredients for Garlic Parmesan Corn:
- Unsalted butter
- Fresh, frozen, or canned corn
- Garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
- Heavy whipping cream
- Grated Parmesan cheese
How to Make Garlic Parmesan Corn:
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add corn and seasonings and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until heated through and most of butter is absorbed.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat and continue to stir until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
Can I make Garlic Butter Corn Ahead of Time?
While you can if you’re pressed for time, I wouldn’t make this too much ahead of time. The heavy cream and Parmesan mixture may become gloppy when reheated.
Cheesy Skillet Corn Variations:
Add some fresh herbs! Rosemary, oregano, or even cilantro would be a tasty addition.
Swap out the heavy cream for cream cheese! This will give the corn and even creamier texture.
Experiment with different cheeses! Feta or shredded mozzarella cheese would also taste delicious.
Tips for Making the Best Garlic Parmesan Corn:
- Fresh, frozen, or canned corn will work in this recipe. If using frozen corn, it may take a minute or two longer to cook.
- For a fresher, more powerful flavor, use a clove of fresh garlic or minced garlic instead of the powder.
- If you don’t have heavy cream on hand, you can skip that completely, or use a touch of milk or cream cheese in its place. The cream just gives the sauce a slightly richer and creamier texture.
- Add some fresh parsley or rosemary for even more flavor.
- This easy garlic corn recipe can easily be doubled (or tripled) to serve more people.
