Soft, moist, and full of cake batter flavor, these Funfetti Cake Batter Bars are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth in a fun way!
**August 2018 update!** This recipe was originally posted in august 2014. i decided that the photos desperately needed updating, so i reshot the recipe (but still kept the ingredient list and directions the same). i also kept the original post/story below that i wrote four summers ago!**
Funfetti cake batter, in bar form, swirled with white chocolate chips. Need I say more?
This has been the summer of desserts for me. Most weekends, I hole up in my kitchen and make some kind of a baked good (or three) to be featured on my blog, and also because I just love desserts, ya know? As much as I love cooking, I also love baking, maybe even a smidge more.
During the week, I plan out what I want to make for the weekend, and then I usually split my recipes between Saturdays and Sundays, depending on what I have planned for those days. Sometimes I make everything on Saturdays, sometimes only Sundays, but whatever the case may be, there’s a lot of action going on!
So it seemed only natural that I bring back one of my favorite flavors, funfetti! Are you sick of that yet? Please lie and say no.
Enter these Funfetti Cake Batter Bars. This shouldn’t even be a recipe, it’s just that easy to whip up. And I’m sure you might’ve seen some version of these bars floating around Pinterest space before, but now that I’ve officially tried and tested it, I’ve got to share this with you.
Pure funfetti deliciousness! These bars are soft, moist, and full of cake batter flavor. And with white chocolate chips swirled in the batter, it will take your funfetti experience to a whole new level. These bars contain just a few ingredients and whip up in minutes!
In fact, I’m going to bet that you might even have all of these ingredients in your kitchen.
These Funfetti Cake Batter Bars were so deliciously addicting, that I made the hubster bring these to his work so that his co-workers could devour them. I can’t be trusted around anything involving cake batter. Sad, I know. So please try out these bars and tell me that you love them, too.

Gayle. These are my life. I am absolutely obsessed with funfetti cake…it was always my birthday cake growing up..so I want to pound back eleventy billion of these! Great recipe girl!
I’m glad you can relate, Taylor! Funfetti is my weakness! So many possibilities! Thanks so much for the kind words and for stopping by!
It’s so true Gayle, I’ll be surfing Pinterest to look for a new recipe but unless someone “I know” (well, blogging friends are still friends!) tries it, I’m hesitant. Why? Because I don’t want to try a recipe that’s not going to work out for me if that’s possible. I only want to spend so much time in the kitchen! So I love it when you hole up in your kitchen trying fun recipes like Funfetti bars that you’ll vouch for. Then I feel it’s safe to try =) These bars are too pretty.
I’m the same way as you, Laura. I always read all of the comments from pinterest recipes to see if anyone else has tried it first. These bars turned out amazing, and I wish I would’ve made them sooner!
My sister would be all over these — she’s a sprinkle/Funfetti fanatic. Will have to surprise her with a batch sometime!
Sounds like these bars would be a perfect treat for her birthday, Meg!

There is just something so delicious about funfetti! I rarely make dessert these days because I know that I will eat the entire pan, so that is a great idea to make your husband take them to work! It really is dangerous to have any form of baked goods in the house, I just can’t help myself and I know that i could probably devour all this funfetti cake in a few minutes 🙂
Glad you’re the same with devouring desserts, Izzy! More often than not, I send my husband to work with my bakes goods or give them away to family because I just can’t control myself around them!
Yay for funfetti! These bars look seriously good, Gayle. Also, dangerously addicting. I could eat that entire panful in minutes I’m pretty sure! 😉
These are so addicting, Sarah! That’s why I had to send my husband to work with these…I kept sneaking a bite every time I walked into the kitchen!

Girl you are all about the cake batter! I love it! These look like such fun desserts! I don’t do nearly enough sweets around here, that needs to change pronto!
I do have a slight addiction to cake batter! And I think I make too many sweets around my house, my counters are full of baked goods every weekend. Though that’s not horrible, right?!
No explanation needed – the pics speak for themselves :). And no, I could never get enough of anything funfetti or cake batter. These bars look amazing!
Thanks, Kathi! I’m glad you like funfetti just as much as I do!
I want to be at your house on the weekends!
I would definitely share if I had any of these left, Christin! My husband’s co-workers devoured these, so there was nothing left!
I’m salivating! The white chocolate chips MAKE these 🙂
I agree, Medha! White chocolate is amazing in just about anything!
Is anyone ever tired of funfetti?! I sure hope not! And especially not when it involves white chocolate! That combo is a thick blondie sounds incredible. During the summer, I did all my baking on the weekends too. It was fun to be in the kitchen so much!
White chocolate definitely gives these bars an added touch! And I’m so glad that you aren’t tired of funfetti yet, although I agree…who would be? 🙂

I used to make Funfetti cookies all the time, but these sound even better!
Found you through Just About Baked.
Funfetti cookies are delicious, too! And I’m so glad you found my blog, Melissa! Thanks so much for the kind words and for stopping by!
I’m loving all of your funfetti and cake batter recipes! These look so delicious and I love that there is cream cheese in the batter too. I’d love to make a batch of these, but I’m afraid I’d eat them all 😉 I just need an excuse to make these now!
Oh I keep meaning to ask you too, what plugin is it that you use for the e-mail subscriptions at the top? I love it, but can’t figure out what it is!
The plugin is through a website called hellobar.com. But in order to use it for email subscriptions, your subscription tool needs to be outside of wordpress. So if you use jetpack through wordpress to send out your posts, then it won’t work. When my site was redesigned, I moved all of my subscribers that I had through jetpack into mailchimp (mailchimp.com). It’s really easy to use, free, and I can totally customize how I want my emails to look whenever a new post goes out! So if you use a service like that, then you can customize the bar that I have at the top of my site for yours! Hope this helps some! If you have anymore questions, feel free to let me know! 🙂
Thanks, Danielle! I’m so glad you like these recipes. I didn’t trust myself with these bars around the house, so I made my husband take them to work. I was sad to see them go, but I have no will power when it comes to anything with cake batter!
Looks delicious, Gayle. I think sprinkles make everything better, and I’m sure all that cream cheese doesn’t hurt, either 🙂
Thanks, Denise! Sprinkles do make everything better, and the cream cheese gives these bars extra moisture and flavor!
We’re on the same baking schedule, Gayle! I love it most of the time, but sometimes I just want the weekend to be lazy.
I’d love some of these! They look so amazing and cheery and summery! I want bright colors in my food as long as possible!
I agree, I want lazy weekends too, but then I feel guilty about not being in the kitchen! 🙂 And these are definitely so fun for the summer!
You had me after the very first sentence! These sound SO good! I do the same thing on the weekends. Bake, Cook, Bake for my blog!
Thanks, Michele! Isn’t it great to bake on the weekends? It’s so therapeutic for me!
I TOTALLY love funfetti cake, but it has been a long time I don’t make it. Thanks for inspiring me 😉
Then you must make these cake bars, and soon! It’s so easy and tastes so delicious!

Ha ha it would be so easy to keep shoving these bars in. They were quite addicting, so my husband to them to work with him. Thanks so much for the kind words and pin, Jocelyn!

These are so cute! Love funfetti cake! Pinning to try them.
suggestions in how to make enough for a 9X13? thanks
Hi Kelsey! I haven’t made it in a 9×13 pan, but I would suggest doubling the recipe. The bars may be a bit thicker, but I think that might work. Good luck!
