These Glazed Maple Brown Sugar Carrots are simple to prepare and full of warm flavors. The brown sugar and maple syrup creates a sweet glaze that coats the carrots with a welcoming taste!

With Thanksgiving less than a week away, it’s time to get in gear for the holidays!

Whether you’re hosting the turkey dinner or simply showing up to enjoy the feast, it’s always fun to anticipate the delicious dishes that will fill your plate.

While I love turkey, I have a soft spot for the side dishes. I heard on The Food Network last week (while watching The Kitchen) that the average Thanksgiving table boasts seven sides. How many side dishes do you have?

I decided to put my own spin on a classic veggie: Thanksgiving carrots! I love them on their own, but when they’re sautéed or roasted, they transform into something special.

These Maple Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots bring a perfect balance of sweetness and warmth, and they come together in minutes.

Just like these roasted garlic parmesan carrots and parmesan honey ones, this recipe is loaded with goodness.

If you need a last-minute side, this recipe delivers big flavor with minimal effort, making it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

And if you need more easy side dishes, I’ve got a variety of simple, yet flavorful veggies, potatoes, rice and more!

Ingredients:

  • Unsalted butter
  • Baby carrots
  • Maple syrup
  • Light brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots:

These brown sugar baby carrots are made in one skillet, and one skillet only. Which means that also saves you from doing more dishes! Pretty clever, huh? And from start to finish, these take about 20 minutes.

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet.
  2. Add carrots, maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
  3. Sauté over medium heat until tender, about 20-25 minutes, or until carrots are tender.

Can I Make This in a Slow Cooker?

I haven’t made this specific recipe in the slow cooker, but try these slow cooker honey carrots for a tasty option!

Can I Use Regular Carrots?

If you don’t have baby carrots on hand, you’re welcome to substitute regular carrots instead. You’ll need to peel and chop them into even-sized pieces before cooking them.

Tips and Tricks:

  • These should be made with pure maple syrup, NOT pancake syrup.
  • I used orange baby carrots in this dish, but you can substitute tri-color carrots, if desired.
  • I prefer making these the same day I plan on serving them. This way, the carrots will be tender but not totally mushy when you’re ready to serve them!
